2,523 absent from HSC English exam under Jessore Board

A total of 2,523 students were absent from Tuesday’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) English First Paper (107) compulsory examination under the Jessore Education Board, representing an absence rate of 2.27% — higher than last year’s 1.62% (1,906 absent).

Of the 111,254 registered examinees across 240 centers in 10 districts and 575 colleges, 108,731 were present.

Two examinees were expelled for using unfair means: one from Darshana in Chuadanga district (roll: Darshana-281-209343) and one from Magura (roll: Magura-343-256368). The exam was otherwise conducted peacefully with no untoward incidents reported.

The information was confirmed by the office of Jessore Education Board Exam Controller Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Matin.
