A free medical camp was held in Nikla Nayapara, Bhuapur upazila, Tangail, on Thursday. The daylong camp was organized in memory of the late Professor Dr. Moktel Hosen, with specialists in medicine, diabetes, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) providing treatment.
Patients said they were able to see specialist doctors free of charge — consultations that would normally cost significant fees. They expressed gratitude to the organizers.
Organizer Dr. Habibul Hasan Sourav said the camp was arranged to provide free medical services to underserved rural communities. He said similar camps would continue in the future.
More than 150 patients from the surrounding area received treatment at the camp.
