The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced nationwide dua and milad mahfil programs to mark the birthday of former prime minister and former BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The programs were announced in a press release signed by BNP senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday (August 14).
Milad and dua mahfils will be held at party offices or mosques across the country, including Dhaka, on Saturday (August 15). Party leaders, activists and supporters at various levels will participate in the programs.
The release said the programs are being organized by BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations across the country to mark Khaleda Zia’s 82nd birthday.
As part of the central program, a milad and dua mahfil will be held at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Senior BNP leaders are expected to attend, the party said.
Similar programs will also be held at party offices or local mosques at district, metropolitan, upazila and other levels across the country.
The party has urged leaders, activists and supporters at all levels of BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations to participate in the events.
