The responsibility of chairman of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has been given to Md Ziaul Haque, an additional secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
The information was given in an office order signed on Sunday (2 August) by Sabrina Afrin Mustafa, senior assistant secretary of the Administration-1 branch of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
It said that, to facilitate the smooth conduct of the BPC’s official activities until further notice, Md Ziaul Haque, additional secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, had been given the charge of BPC chairman in addition to his own responsibilities. The order was issued with the approval of the appropriate authority.
