DHAKA — A fire broke out at the Directorate of Primary Education in Mirpur, Dhaka, prompting an on-site inspection by Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milon.
The fire occurred at about 5 a.m. Friday, May 1.
During the inspection, the minister ordered the Primary and Mass Education Secretary to form a three-member investigation committee. He directed law enforcement agencies to determine whether the incident involved any act of sabotage. He also urged officials concerned to swiftly investigate and submit a report.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, Secretary Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain and Director General of the Directorate of Primary and Mass Education Shahina Ferdousi were present.
