Excelerate Energy’s LNG terminal restarted at 3:10am, Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Ltd (RPGCL) confirmed to the media on Thursday (6 August).

At 9:30am, the terminal was supplying 115 million cubic feet of gas to the national grid, taking total LNG supply at the time to 662 million cubic feet. By afternoon, supply from the terminal could reach 200 to 250 million cubic feet.

The terminal’s gas supply had been shut for nearly two weeks after the fire, triggering a severe gas and power crisis across the country. RPGCL’s Chattogram office deputy general manager (DGM) Nasir Uddin said the terminal had restarted at 3:10am.
