Border Guard Bangladesh (3 BGB) inaugurated a tree planting program in Panchari, Khagrachhari, on Wednesday.
Logang Zone Commander Md. Rabiul Islam inaugurated the program at noon. He said 250,000 fruit, timber, and medicinal saplings would be planted across the border outposts, camps, and surrounding areas under the Logang Zone as part of the prime minister’s tree planting initiative.
He added that the saplings would be distributed to people of all communities in the area, and assured that proper care and maintenance of the planted trees would be ensured.
3 BGB Assistant Director Md. Abdul Matin, acting Quarter Master Subedar Major Nazmul, and other officers were present at the ceremony.
