The body of Kamal Chandra Roy, 50, has been recovered from a place called Dangapara Dolar Par in Kachukata union of Nilphamari Sadar. Police recovered the body from a ginger field in the area on Saturday (18 July) morning. Kamal Chandra was the son of Biren Chandra Roy of Kachukata Bandarpara village and a traditional healer (kobiraj) by profession.
Family sources said Kamal Chandra left home at around 10pm on Friday and did not return. In the morning, locals saw his body lying in a drain in the ginger field and informed the family; police later recovered it. Nilphamari Sadar police OC Zillur Rahman said the body had been recovered and sent to the morgue. It was lying face down on the ground, with blood coming from the nose and mouth. The exact cause of death would be known after investigation, he said.
