A day-long training camp was held on the initiative of Chhatra Shibir, with selected workers, in Naldanga upazila of Natore.
The training camp was held on Saturday (June 13) at a resort in the Halti Bil area of the upazila.
Mahmudul Hasan, the central science secretary, was present as chief guest at the event.
Present as special guest was Dr. Md. Ziaul Haque Zia, Jamaat’s nominated mayoral candidate and former vice-chairman of Naldanga upazila and central organizing secretary, assistant professor, of the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation.
The speakers delivered weighty remarks at the event.
The speakers said: “The moral failings within the workforce must be removed and an ideal character built. The moral and religious provisions of Islam must be strictly followed in personal life. The strategic competence needed to build skilled and capable leadership must be increased. Living, eating and worshipping together must strengthen mutual brotherhood and unity among the workers. Modern knowledge and science must be brought into a timely harmony with Islamic education, and a freedom from the tendency to imitate must be maintained.”
The speakers further said: “A role must be played in fostering a sense of brotherhood, building a balanced life and building a prosperous Bangladesh. Organizational wisdom, leadership skills and strategic competence must be increased. Students must be made not merely educated in their studies, but built into ideal, principled and honest citizens.”
Also present at the event were Jamaat’s nominated upazila chairman candidate and Jamaat’s thana secretary Dr. Fazlur Rahman, and vice-chairman candidate Md. Ali Al Masud Milan. The current district president of Shibir is Md. Jahid Hossain.
Among others present were former district president of Shibir Najmul Islam, former thana president of Shibir Hafez Abdul Barik, current thana president of Shibir Md. Tarek Rahman and thana secretary Md. Abdur Rahman.
