Three more dengue deaths

Three more people have died of dengue across the country in the past 24 hours. Another 512 were admitted to hospital in the same period.

Forty-seven people have died of dengue so far this year. Of them, 29 died this month. Two died in January, two in February, one in May and 13 in June.

The information was given in a dengue bulletin sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday, 28 July.

The bulletin said that of those infected with dengue in the past 24 hours (from 8am on Monday to 8am on Tuesday), 75 were admitted to hospital in Barishal division, 75 in Chattogram division, 40 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporations), 85 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 76 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 85 in Khulna division, 13 in Mymensingh division, 34 in Rajshahi division, 28 in Rangpur division and one in Sylhet division.

The Directorate General of Health Services said 14 thousand 156 people have been infected with dengue so far this year. Of them, 8 thousand 52 have been admitted to hospital with dengue so far this month.
