A one-day Partner Field School Congress organised by the Department of Agricultural Extension has been held in Jashore’s Chougacha. The day-long congress took place on Wednesday (10 June) in the training room of the department’s Chougacha upazila office, under the Programme on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER) project.
Upazila agriculture officer Mosabbir Hussain presided. Upazila nirbahi officer Farzana Islam spoke as chief guest, and Mosharraf Hossain, deputy director of the agriculture department’s Jashore region, was the principal discussant. Special guests included the Jashore region’s senior monitoring officer Sajjad Hussain, assistant commissioner (land) G M A Munib, additional agriculture officer A Z M Obaidullah, upazila livestock officer Anwarul Karim, Chougacha police OC Mamunur Rashid, upazila secondary education officer ASM Bazlur Rashid, primary education officer Mostafizur Rahman and social services officer Mejbah Uddin. Seventy farmers from the department’s various schools took part.
Upazila agriculture officer Mosabbir Hussain said Partner Field Schools would be held at 82 congresses in the upazila, of which 42 have already been completed.
