After the appointment of Masud Khan as chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the government has appointed three commissioners. They are Dhaka Bank Securities managing director Nafiz Al Tarik, Supreme Court lawyer Nahid Mahtab and Asha International finance director Tanvir Habib Rahman. They were appointed for four years through separate notifications on Thursday.
Earlier, around 11am, BSEC chairman Khondoker Rashed Maqsood, along with four others — Mu. Mohsin Chowdhury, Md Ali Akbar, Farzana Lalarukh and Md Saifuddin — resigned.
