Banned Chhatra League, Krishak League leaders arrested in Chatmohar

Police have arrested two leaders of the banned Chhatra League and Krishak League in a case filed under the Explosives Act in Chatmohar, Pabna.

They were arrested in a raid on Saturday (27 June) night.

The arrested men are Imran Nazir, 29, joint convener of the Dibigram union Chhatra League and son of Abul Ali of Katakhali village; and Rajab Ali, 32, joint convener of the Krishak League in ward No 2 of Dibigram union and son of Abdul Wahab of Katakhali village.

Officer-in-charge Md Oliur Rahman confirmed the arrests, saying there was a case against the arrested men under the Explosives Act at Chatmohar police station — case No 3, dated 06/01/2025. The arrested men were produced before a court on Sunday morning.
