Man killed under truck wheels in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali

A man named Abdullah Al Mansur Noman (45) has been killed after being run over by a truck in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali. The accident happened in the Choraikol railgate area of the upazila at around 5:30pm on Thursday (6 August).

Abdullah Al Mansur Noman was the son of the late Abdur Rashid of Mahendrapur village in Jagannathpur union of the upazila.

According to sources, Noman was returning to Kumarkhali by motorcycle from Kushtia at around 5:30pm on Thursday. When he reached the Choraikol railgate area, a truck hit his motorcycle, and he died on the spot after being run over by the truck’s wheels.

On receiving the news, Kumarkhali police reached the scene, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Kushtia General Hospital for an autopsy.

Kumarkhali police station officer-in-charge (OC) Jamal Uddin said police had been sent to the scene after the accident. The truck involved fled, and work was under way to seize it, he said.
