Online applications are being accepted for re-scrutiny of exam papers from SSC and equivalent students dissatisfied with their results. The process began on August 11, and 312,000 re-scrutiny applications had been submitted within the first four days.
An official from the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee disclosed the figures Saturday.
The official said more than 300,000 applications for re-scrutiny had been received as of 11 p.m. on August 14. “We checked this update yesterday, despite it being Friday. The last count we had was around 312,000.”
The average pass rate in the exams was 62.25 percent, with 116,676 students achieving a GPA-5.
Students dissatisfied with their results have been given the opportunity to apply for re-scrutiny. Applications opened on August 11 and will close on August 17. Under an entirely new system this year, dissatisfied candidates can apply for re-scrutiny by paying a fee of 150 taka per subject.
In the 2025 SSC and equivalent examinations, the nationwide average pass rate was 68.45 percent, with a total of 139,032 students achieving GPA-5.
A letter from the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education said applicants must visit rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd and fill in their roll and registration numbers in the designated fields, then select their board from the dropdown menu.
After clicking submit, applicants must provide a mobile number, to which an SMS will be sent once re-scrutiny results are published. The next screen displays the student’s subject-wise results. To apply for re-scrutiny in one or more subjects, applicants select the relevant subjects and click “Pay Fee.” A fee of 150 taka applies per paper.
For subjects with two papers, applications must be submitted for both papers. The fee amount will be shown on the following screen. Fees can be paid via bKash, Nagad, or Sonali Sheba. Detailed payment steps are available by clicking the help button on the portal. After paying the fee, applicants must return to the application portal and click “Submit.” Once a fee-paid application has been submitted, additional subjects can be added the same way without re-entering a mobile number. If changes are needed before payment, applicants can click “Delete” to withdraw selected subjects for which fees have not yet been paid and select new ones. However, once a fee has been paid, applied subjects cannot be canceled, and fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. Manual applications will not be accepted.
