Lawyer Mohammad Shishir Monir has said the authorities have decided to pay Tk 80 lakh in compensation to each family of the six newborns who died at Ad-din Hospital in the capital’s Moghbazar. The compensation was set through joint discussion between the affected families and the authorities, he told the media on Sunday (7 June). The lawyer said the other facilities previously announced for the affected families would also remain in place. Shishir Monir is working as a mediator between the affected families and the hospital authorities.
