DHAKA — The government has simultaneously transferred 12 senior officers of the Bangladesh Police at the rank of additional deputy inspector general (DIG) and superintendent of police, according to separate notifications issued Thursday.
The notifications said the orders, issued in the public interest, would take effect immediately.
According to the notifications, Mokbul Hossain, commandant (superintendent of police) of the In-Service Training Centre in Satkhira, has been transferred to the same post in Kushtia. Md. Iqbal, commanding officer (additional DIG) of Dhaka APBn-12, has been made commanding officer of Dhaka APBn-5. Md. Enamul Kabir, additional DIG of the Highway Police, has been assigned as commanding officer of Dhaka APBn-12.
In addition, Mohammad Sihab Kaiser Khan, commanding officer (additional DIG) of Dhaka APBn-13, has been transferred to the post of additional DIG of the PBI. Mohammad Kamruzzaman and Md. Khalidul Haque Howlader, directors (additional DIGs) of RAB, have been appointed joint commissioners of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Mohammad Robiul Hossain Bhuiyan, deputy commissioner (supernumerary additional DIG) of the DMP, has been made superintendent of police of the Naval Police. Nusrat Jahan Mukta, additional superintendent of police (supernumerary SP) of the APBn, has been transferred to the post of additional superintendent of police of the Special Branch.
In another notification, Md. Mizanur Rahman, superintendent of police of Dhaka district, has been made superintendent of police of the PBI. Shamima Parveen, superintendent of police at the Police Headquarters, has been appointed superintendent of police of Dhaka district.
Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury, superintendent of police of Bagerhat, has been transferred to Chattogram Range, and Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabdar, deputy commissioner of the DMP, has been transferred as superintendent of police of Bagerhat.
