The war with Iran could end after the upcoming midterm elections, US President Donald Trump told a rally in Alabama, according to Iran International.
At the rally Trump asked who the US would negotiate with in Tehran, saying there was no one there to make a deal with. “Knock knock, nobody’s home,” he joked.
Trump also claimed that Iran has no navy, air force, radar or air defence left, and that its economy is suffering inflation of about 310 percent. Once the war is over, oil prices will fall immediately, he said.
Trump has recently said repeatedly that the war will end after the midterms. On 1 October he said Iran was not doing well and the war would not last much longer.
