President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has visited Abdul Moyeen Khan, the Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, who is being treated at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
The President went to the hospital in Bashundhara on Friday morning, the President’s office said.
He asked after the minister’s health. Doctors at Evercare, among them cardiologist Professor Dr Sahabuddin Talukder, briefed the President on Abdul Moyeen Khan’s latest condition.
President Mirza Fakhrul wished the minister a speedy recovery, his office said.
The minister’s wife, Advocate Roksana Khondoker, was present during the visit.
Abdul Moyeen Khan was admitted to Evercare Hospital with chest pain on Wednesday. He is suffering from breathing difficulties and heart-related problems.
Doctors are now treating him under close observation.
