Four injured as BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami activists clash in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON — At least four leaders and activists were injured in a clash between members of the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami in Ranisankail upazila of Thakurgaon district, police and local sources said.

The clash broke out around 10 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at Chandanchahat village in Nekmarad union of the upazila.

The injured were identified as BNP leaders Mohammad Ariful Islam, Mohammad Faruk and Mohammad Rubel, and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mohammad Akhtar Hossain. All four were taken to Ranisankail Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries and are receiving treatment, locals said.
