DHAKA — The government has placed nine secretaries on compulsory retirement in the public interest, the Public Administration Ministry said Monday night in separate notifications.
The notifications said the officers were retired from government service under the power granted by Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018, in the public interest. They will receive all retirement benefits as per the rules.
The retired secretaries are:
1. Md. Manjur Hossain (5490), officer on special duty (senior secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
2. Md. Mashiur Rahman, ndc (5568), officer on special duty (senior secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
3. Md. Shamsul Arefin (5773), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
4. Md. Mizanur Rahman, ndc (5924), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
5. Md. Azizur Rahman (5929), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
6. Md. Nurul Alam (5994), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
7. Dr. Farid Uddin Ahmad (6065), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
8. Dr. A.K.M. Motiur Rahman (7631), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
9. Shafiul Azim (6365), officer on special duty (secretary), Public Administration Ministry.
The notification said the order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
