SATKHIRA — A mobile court sentenced a meat trader to two months in prison and fined him 30,000 taka on Sunday for supplying rotten meat to several restaurants in Satkhira city, including the Kacchi Dine outlet.

The trader was detained Sunday morning, Nov. 2, during a raid in the Laboni Mor area. District administration Executive Magistrate Md. Tajul Islam imposed the sentence after conducting the mobile court.

The accused, Abdul Qader, is the son of Ruhul Quddus of the Kuliya Bazar area in Debhata upazila. He ran a meat shop called “Kabir Meat” at Kamalnagar Bou Bazar in Satkhira, officials said.
