JIBANNAGAR — Advocate Md. Ruhul Amin, the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for the Chuadanga-2 (Jibannagar-Damurhuda) constituency and amir of the Chuadanga district unit of Jamaat-e-Islami, met with journalists working in Jibannagar on Sunday afternoon.
At the meeting hosted by the Jibannagar upazila unit of Jamaat, Amin discussed his campaign pledges, development vision and the area’s problems and prospects ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.
Amin said he wants to work for the public benefit by establishing an agricultural university, opening the Changkhali land port, securing people’s rights, ensuring good governance and building a corruption-free society. He emphasized the role and cooperation of journalists.
The meeting was chaired by Mahfuzur Rahman, secretary of the Jibannagar upazila unit of Jamaat. Maulana Azizur Rahman, naib-e-amir of the district Jamaat unit, attended as special guest, along with local Jamaat leaders, supporters and reporters from various print and electronic media.
