NANGALKOT, Bangladesh — A 10-year-old boy in Cumilla’s Nangalkot upazila has memorized all 30 paras of the Quran in just 11 months, becoming a hafiz, his madrasa said.
Abdullah Al Muntasir was honored by the madrasa with a garland of flowers and a turban. His Hifz-section head teacher, Hafez Quari Faisal Mahmud, was also awarded.
Muntasir is the son of Muhammad Khurshid Alam, a Bahrain expatriate from Pippra village in Raykot Uttar union. He is the youngest of Khurshid Alam’s three children, two boys and one girl.
Muntasir began his Nazera studies a year and a half ago at the Charijaniya Nesariya Hamidiya Hafizia Madrasa in Raykot Uttar union of Nangalkot upazila. Among 75 students, he completed Nazera and went on to memorize the full 30 paras of the Quran in 11 months.
Muntasir said his dream was to become a world-renowned Islamic scholar in the service of Islam and to spread the names of his parents and beloved teachers across the globe. He asked everyone for their prayers.
His mother, Kamruzzahan Rumi, said her youngest child had memorized the 30 paras of the Quran in just 11 months. She said her dream was to see him become a great Islamic scholar and sought prayers from people across the country.
Faisal Mahmud, the Hifz-section head teacher at Charijaniya Nesariya Hamidiya Hafizia Madrasa, told Kalbela: “Abdullah Al Muntasir’s hard work and dedication made it possible for him to become a hafiz. The teachers also worked hard. By the grace of Almighty Allah, Muntasir was able to become a hafiz in 11 months.” Source: Kalbela.
