LAKSHMIPUR — Charruhita union Jamaat-e-Islami organized a day-long free medical camp on behalf of ESIUM Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan, the Jamaat amir for Lakshmipur district and the party’s candidate for the Lakshmipur-2 (Raipur) constituency.
The camp offered medicine to more than 500 patients across the day in pediatric, dermatology and sexual health, ophthalmology and diabetes care.
The event was held Saturday morning on the grounds of Rasulganj Multipurpose High School in the sadar upazila, organized by the Charruhita union Jamaat-e-Islami.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Charruhita union Jamaat amir Omar Faruk, with Ruhul Amin Bhuiya, the Jamaat candidate for Lakshmipur-2, attending as chief guest.
Bhuiya said: “Jamaat-e-Islami is an ideal Islamic organization committed to humanitarian service. The opening line of our vision is service to humanity. Service to humanity, building the competence to run the country and earning the satisfaction of Almighty Allah — these three are the vision of Jamaat-e-Islami. And the beginning is service to humanity.”
Also present were Raipur upazila Jamaat secretary Abdul Awal Rasel; Amir Hossain, chairman of Alif Meem Hospital; Abul Bashar, joint secretary of the Workers’ Welfare Federation district committee; Charruhita union Jamaat secretary Ali Ahmed; and Shamsul Alam Ritu, president of the Rasulganj Bazar management committee.
