PABNA — Barrister Najibur Rahman Momen, son of former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, has collected nomination papers for the Pabna-1 (Santhia) constituency for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections, party leaders said.
Jamaat leaders collected the nomination papers on his behalf on Wednesday (Dec. 17) from Santhia Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Rizu Tamanna at the upazila executive officer’s office.
Those present during the nomination collection included Santhia upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Mokhlesur Rahman; secretary and assistant professor Anisur Rahman; Santhia municipal Amir Hafez Abdul Gafur; municipal working council member and former principal Maulana Abdul Malek; upazila Sramik Kalyan Federation president Mostafa Kamal Manik; former upazila vice-chairman Abu Taleb; and upazila working council member and assistant professor Abul Bashar, among others.
