Meherpur Jamaat holds camp for former Shibir office-bearers

A day-long training camp, Shikkha Shibir 2026, was held in Meherpur on Saturday (3 October) for former office-bearers of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.

It was organised by the Meherpur district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the Meherpur district DIT mosque auditorium from around 7am.

The event was chaired by Meherpur-1 MP and district Jamaat chief Maulana Tajuddin Khan. The chief guest was Professor Khandaker AKM Ali Muhsin, a member of Jamaat’s regional team and its Kushtia district chief. Md Abdul Matin, a member of the Jashore-Kushtia regional team, and Meherpur-2 MP Md Nazmul Huda, a member of the district Jamaat working committee, spoke as special guests.

Participants were given guidance on their future work, moral character and current affairs. Speakers urged them to uphold Islamic values while improving their organisational skills, and to show honesty and accountability and play a positive role in reforming society.

Other speakers included Kushtia district Tarbiyat secretary Abdus Sattar, Meherpur district deputy chief Maulana Mahbub Ul Alam, Sadar upazila chief Sohel Rana and former Meherpur district Shibir president Principal Al Amin Islam Bakul. A large number of Jamaat leaders and activists and former Chhatra Shibir office-bearers attended.
