July Warriors Alliance names five NCP leaders as advisers

A central committee of an organisation of July fighters has been announced with five senior leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) as its advisers. NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, chief organiser (northern region) Sarjis Alam, and political council member and MP Dr Mahmuda Mitu will serve on the committee, which has been announced for the coming year.

The details were given in a press release sent to the media on Monday (5 October).

It said a partial central committee of the July Warriors Alliance, an organisation of July fighters, had been announced with five senior NCP leaders as advisers. Md Salman Hossain has been made president, Hasibul Hasan general secretary and Mustain Billah Habibi organising secretary.

An advisory council of the July Warriors Alliance has also been formed with the five central NCP leaders. Its members are NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan; chief organiser (northern region) Sarjis Alam; political council members and MPs Dr Mahmuda Mitu and Nusrat Tabassum; and central organiser Advocate Arman Hossain.

The press release said the advisory council and central committee were formed to uphold the spirit and achievements of the July mass uprising and to ensure justice, dignity and rights for those killed and injured in July.
