Chougachha holds meeting ahead of Durga Puja

A meeting was held in Chougachha, Jashore, on Saturday afternoon ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. It took place in the Chougachha police station compound and was chaired by the station’s officer-in-charge, Mamunur Rashid.

Those present included Gobinda Kumar Raha, convener of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front’s Chougachha upazila unit; Principal Balai Chandra Pal, president of the Chougachha Puja Udjapan Parishad; upazila BNP president MA Salam; upazila Jamaat-e-Islami chief Maulana Golam Morshed and assistant secretary Kamal Ahmed; municipal BNP president Selim Reza Auliar and general secretary Abdul Halim Chanchal; BNP leader Yunus Ali Dafadar; Chougachha Press Club office-bearers; and the station’s inspector (investigation) Nurul Amin Shikder.

The meeting took important decisions to ensure the festival is celebrated without disruption.
