TBC starts special Eid sales from Monday ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

In anticipation of Eid-ul-Azha, a program for the sale of TCP goods through mobile trucks will begin on Monday. Minister of Commerce Khandker Abdul Muktadir will inaugurate the event in the Agargaon area on Monday.
This information was conveyed in an order signed by TCP Deputy Director (Commercial) Md. Shahadat Hossain on Tuesday.
The order states that across the country, 720 mobile trucks will sell TCP goods such as edible oil, sugar, and lentil at subsidized prices to 400 people per truck daily for 10 days (excluding Friday) from May 11 to 21.
Through these trucks, approximately 13.93 million beneficiaries will be provided with about 28.80 metric tons of goods. Any consumer can purchase goods from the trucks.
The order further states that the sale of TCP goods at subsidized prices to below-poverty-line families holding TCP cards is already underway as per government directives.
Additionally, in preparation for Eid, 50 trucks will sell goods daily in the Dhaka metropolis (including Dhaka district), 20 in the Chittagong metropolis (including Chittagong district), 15 each in six divisional cities and their respective districts, and 10 trucks each in the remaining 56 districts.
Consumers will be able to purchase up to 2 liters of edible oil at 130 Tk per liter, 1 kg of sugar at 80 Tk, and 2 kg of lentil at 70 Tk per kg.
