2027 Hajj pre-registration begins, deadline set for September 26

The Religious Affairs Ministry has begun pre-registration for those wishing to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in 2027. The process officially started on Wednesday (July 1).

The ministry said prospective pilgrims must complete pre-registration by September 26, in accordance with the timeline set by the Saudi Arabian government. Interested pilgrims have been urged to complete their registration within the designated period.

Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry announced the roadmap for the 2027 Hajj at a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29. The roadmap was formally handed over to religious affairs ministers from various countries at the event.

Bangladesh’s Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain attended as an invited guest. Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry’s Assistant Minister Dr. Al-Hasan bin Yahya Al-Manakhrah presented him with the Hajj roadmap.

According to the roadmap, pilgrim registration must be completed by September 26. The bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will be signed on November 8. Hajj visas will begin to be issued from January 28, 2027, and Hajj flights will commence on April 8.

Subject to moon sighting, the 2027 Hajj is expected to be performed on May 15 (9 Zilhajj).
