The number of people infected with — and dying from — measles and measles symptoms continues to rise in the country. In the past 24 hours, four more people died of measles symptoms, taking the total number of measles-related deaths in the country this year to 661.
The information was given in a report published by the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (19 June).
According to the report, 1,174 people were newly infected with measles or measles symptoms in the 24 hours from 8 am on Thursday to 8 am on Friday.
