Dhaka Central University choice form open until 1 August

Students who passed the first-year honours admission test for the 2025-2026 academic year at the colleges affiliated with Dhaka Central University can fill in the online choice form until 11:59pm on 1 August. In the arts and social science, science, and business education units, they can enter subjects, the name of the college and quota-related information (where applicable). The admission fee can be paid and confirmation made from 4 August to 11:59pm on 12 August.

The university authorities confirmed the matter on Thursday (30 July).

It was also announced that the result of the first migration will be published at 10pm on 14 August. Students selected in the first migration will have until 11:59pm from 15 to 19 August to pay the admission fee, confirm admission and change their subject choice.

The result of the second migration will be published at 10pm on 20 August. Students selected at this stage can pay the admission fee, confirm admission and change their subject choice from 21 to 11:59pm on 23 August.

The final result, specifying subject and college, will be published at 10pm on 25 August. The likely date for classes of the new academic year to begin has been set as 6 September.

Special instructions

1. Subject choice must be given online by filling in the choice form through the website dcuadmission.org.

2. Those who passed the admission test must give their online choices within the set time, in order of preference for their chosen subjects and college names.

3. After the list specifying subject and college names is published, applicants must confirm admission by paying the admission fee of 6,500 taka online through the Sonali bill payment system within the set deadline.

4. Students who have confirmed admission may keep auto-migration on or off. If auto-migration is kept on, they will automatically get the chance to move to a more preferred college or subject if a seat is vacant.

5. Students who have not confirmed will no longer be considered for admission. All other successful students may change their online choices (order of preference) within the set time.

6. Quota applicants must give all quota-related information (by uploading proof of quota eligibility) when filling in their online subject preferences. Any new information added on this later will not be accepted. A student must submit, at the time of admission to the college concerned, proof of eligibility for the quota box filled in online, the admission-test admit card and a printed copy of the completed choice form.

7. The admission rules set out in the admission guidelines must be followed.

8. The authorities reserve the right to change, expand, amend and add to the admission rules and policy.

9. The affiliated colleges can download the information of admitted students online from 10pm on 25 August.

10. Those finally selected for admission must fill in the admission form and submit the necessary documents, along with the pay slip, to the office of the college concerned from 26 to 31 August: (a) the original marksheet and an attested copy of the marksheet; (b) a testimonial from the head of the institution the candidate last passed from; (c) a photocopy of the HSC exam admit card; (d) a photocopy of the SSC registration card and five passport-size photographs.
