Chhatra Dal distributes relief in Ramu

Chhatra Dal has distributed relief in Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar under the leadership of its central president Rakibul Islam Rakib. On Monday, Rakibul Islam Rakib went from house to house in the upazila to check on affected people, assuring families hit by the disaster that he stood by them.

He distributed dry food and emergency relief materials among helpless, distressed and flood-hit families in various areas of the upazila’s South Mithachhari union. On the third day of the relief program, rice, lentils, potatoes, dry food, water-purifying tablets, drinking water and other essential materials were distributed among 500 families.

Rakibul Islam Rakib said the program had been organized out of a humanitarian sense of duty to ease the suffering of people hit by the natural disaster. The central Chhatra Dal had always stood by people, he said, and would continue to stand by them in any disaster or crisis in future.

District Chhatra Dal president Fahimur Rahman, general secretary Sayeed Anwar and organizing secretary Ashraf Imran, district Jubo Dal vice-president Javed Iqbal, along with Chhatra Dal leaders, workers and volunteers of various levels in Ramu upazila, took part in the relief program.
