DHAKA — Nor’westers may sweep through 16 districts of Bangladesh between sunset and 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.
Thunderstorms may accompany the squalls in those areas, the department said in a bulletin.
It said gusty winds and thunderstorms or rain may occur at some places in Moulvibazar, Sylhet, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Magura, Jhenaidah, Jashore, Narail, Gopalganj, Barishal, Lakshmipur, Noakhali, Feni, Khagrachhari, Rangamati and Chattogram districts before 9 p.m. People have been advised to stay indoors during that time.
In an earlier bulletin, the department said lightning was occurring in the country’s central and northeastern regions and was likely to move toward the southern and southeastern districts.
