Khoksa school holds anti-drug, anti-eve-teasing awareness meeting

An awareness meeting on preventing drug abuse, eve-teasing and child marriage was held at Moragachha Secondary School in Khoksa upazila, Kushtia.

The meeting was organized at noon on Thursday, August 27, in the school’s student-teacher auditorium. Presided over by the school’s head teacher, Hasen Ali Molla, the event’s chief guest was Khoksa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Molla Zakir Hossain.

In his remarks as chief guest, OC Molla Zakir Hossain said drugs, extremism, eve-teasing and child marriage harm not just individual families but society as a whole. He said preventing these crimes requires a responsible role not only from law enforcement but also from teachers, students and guardians. He added that police awareness activities and operations to build a crime-free society would continue.

He urged students to stay away from drugs, speak out against eve-teasing, and raise awareness among families and society against child marriage. He also advised that any information about crime or unethical activity be reported quickly to law enforcement.

Teachers, students and guardians of the school took part in the meeting. They expressed a shared commitment to raising awareness against drugs and social crimes while working together to ensure a safe environment for students.

Teachers and students present described the awareness event as timely and commendable, and expressed gratitude to Khoksa police station.
