Pele set that record by scoring against Wales at the 1958 World Cup at the age of just 17. Nearly 68 years later, the 18-year-old Yamal has now shared in it.
Handed a start, Yamal announced his talent by scoring. The performance has brought him fresh attention at the World Cup and placed him in an even stronger position as a promising star for the future.
