Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said that a penalty for digital cheating has been added to the Public Examinations Act, with provisions of up to five years in prison and a fine for hacking or illegally altering examination results or merit lists.
He made the remarks on Friday (19 June) morning at a Leaders Training Seminar organised by Rotary Bangladesh at the Krishibid Institution auditorium.
The education minister said students must be developed in such a way that they can lead the world — and that the present government is building the education system accordingly.
Ehsanul Haque Milon said the country could not be turned into a factory of unemployment by giving everyone higher education. The government is emphasising technical and vocational education, he said, adding that technical education is being made compulsory in textbooks from grade six.
