An inauguration has been held for a Startup, Science Project and Innovation Idea Showcasing Program in Nawabganj upazila, Dinajpur.
The program was inaugurated around 4 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at the upazila parishad auditorium by Prof. Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, the minister for social welfare and for women and children affairs.
Nawabganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bidhan Kanti Haldar presided over the event.
The program was organized on the initiative of the Extra Curriculum Activities Smart Club (EESSC) and ESSDP, with support from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka, and was carried out by the upazila administration and the upazila secondary education office in Nawabganj, Dinajpur.
The event stressed building a science-minded and technology-driven generation by showcasing students’ innovative thinking, science-based projects and startup ideas. Teachers and students from various educational institutions, along with government officials and others concerned, were present.
