The government has appointed new vice-chancellors to Netrokona University, Habiganj Agricultural University and Kishoreganj University. The appointments were announced in three separate notifications from the education ministry on Monday, 27 July.
According to the notifications, Professor Dr Md Khaled Uzzaman of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) at the University of Rajshahi has been appointed vice-chancellor of Netrokona University. He was appointed under the provisions of the Netrokona University Act, 2018 (amended 2023).
Professor Dr Md Mozammel Haque of the department of food engineering and tea technology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has been appointed the new vice-chancellor of Habiganj Agricultural University.
Professor Dr Md Habibur Rahman of the zoology department at the University of Rajshahi has been appointed vice-chancellor of Kishoreganj University.
