Prime Minister Tareque Rahman extended Eid ul-Adha greetings to Bangladeshis and all Muslims worldwide. He posted the greetings on his Facebook page Wednesday.
In the post, Tareque Rahman wrote: “Eid ul-Adha returns once again, carrying the supreme example of sacrifice, the guidance of taqwa, and the message of self-purification. This festival is not merely an occasion of joy — it carries an eternal message of deep faith in the Creator, devotion and sacrifice.”
Recalling the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his supreme sacrifice, he said this example has made Eid ul-Adha so significant and meaningful to the global Muslim community.
On this holy day, the prime minister said, he prays to Allah for the acceptance of sacrifices offered by Muslims of Bangladesh and around the world, and for peace, security and stability for all humanity.
He closed with a prayer: “May Allah accept our sacrifices and worship. May our lives be filled with peace and prosperity through His infinite mercy and blessings.”
