Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) vice-president Sadik Kayem has expressed the hope that the July movement and its spirit will remain undimmed in every corner of Bangladesh. He said: “Let July stand gloriously on every inch of Bangladesh’s soil.”
The DUCSU VP said this in a Facebook post on Friday (7 August).
Highlighting the importance of holding on to July’s aspirations and the memory of the martyrs, Sadik Kayem wrote: “Many thanks to the Jamaat Amir for keeping July’s aspirations alive, and for conveying the martyrs’ dream and message so beautifully. Let July stand gloriously on every inch of Bangladesh’s soil.”
He also said: “July will continue for as long as Bangladesh exists.”
Mentioning a photo exhibition, the DUCSU VP invited everyone, saying: “You are all invited to the photo exhibition titled ‘July is not over yet’ on the field next to the honourable opposition leader’s residence. The exhibition runs until 8pm tonight.”
