After the meeting ended at 4:30 a.m., the information was given to journalists by the syndicate chair and university vice-chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan.
The vice-chancellor said the decision was taken after a long review based on the reports of an investigation committee and a structured committee formed over the events of July 14, 15 and 17, 2024. He said separate hearings, testimony and verification of information were carried out against each of the accused so that no innocent person would be punished and no guilty person would go unpunished.
