A 13-year-old school student died of electrocution in Kuliarchar, Kishoreganj. The accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, at his family’s home in Lakshmipur Namapara village, in the upazila’s Gobaria Abdullahpur union.
The student was a seventh-grade student at the local Lakshmipur Dwimukhi High School.
Family members said attempts were made to save him after he was electrocuted, but he could not ultimately be saved.
Kuliarchar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Arif Uddin confirmed the incident, saying family members would arrange the burial once permission is obtained from the district commissioner.
