The results of the primary scholarship examination will be published officially on Sunday. A news conference has been arranged for Sunday afternoon at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital to mark the release, with Primary and Mass Education Minister and Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon due to attend.

A total of 82,500 students will receive scholarships this year. Of them, 80 percent will go to government primary school pupils and the remaining 20 percent to candidates from private schools or kindergartens. Recipients receive financial support in two categories – ‘talent pool’ and ‘general grade.’

The examination was held from April 15 to 18, 2026, across all districts except the three hill districts. In Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban, it was held on a special schedule from April 17 to 20. Just over 640,000 candidates sat the exam this year – about 550,000 from government primary schools and 90,000 from private primary schools (kindergartens).
