Two Bangladesh Police officials at the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG) have been appointed directors of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) agency.
The information was disclosed Sunday, August 23, in a notification signed by Mohammad Nur-E Alam, deputy secretary of the Public Administration Ministry’s Deputation-1 branch.
He signed the order on the president’s directive.
The transferred officials are Aminul Islam, DIG of Rangpur Range, and Dr. Mohammad Abdul Kader, DIG of the police’s Special Branch, both appointed on deputation to the Prime Minister’s Office as directors of the National Security Intelligence Directorate (NSI).
The notification further states that the order takes effect immediately, in the public interest.
