A notice circulating on social media about a change in the schedule of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams is fake and motivated, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Coordination Committee said, urging students and guardians not to be confused.
The information came in an urgent public notice issued on July 21 and signed by Professor Jesmin Taslima Banu, controller of examinations of the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Coordination Committee.
The notice said a message is being spread on social media in the name of the coordination committee, claiming that exams will be held as scheduled from July 27, 2026. In fact, that notice is completely false, baseless and motivated.
It added that neither the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Chattogram, nor the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Coordination Committee has any connection with such fake or misleading notices.
Any decision, instruction or notice about exams is published only on the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Education Ministry, the coordination committee and the relevant education boards, the notice said. It urged everyone not to believe or share unverified information on social media, and to refrain from spreading rumors and misleading information.
