A delegation from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh, led by ICSB President Mohammad Shahjahan, paid a courtesy call on Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, minister for commerce, textiles and jute, and industries.
The institute said in a news release on Monday that the delegation sought the minister’s cooperation and support for the future development and advancement of the chartered secretary profession in Bangladesh.
The minister listened to the delegation and assured it of his full cooperation and support for ICSB’s activities.
During the meeting on Sunday, the ICSB president introduced the delegation members and briefed the minister on the institute’s activities and future plans to develop the profession and improve professional skills.
ICSB Senior Vice President Md Rafiqul Islam, council members Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun and Khondkar Nasir Uddin Mahmud, and Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Md Sabbirul Alam Chowdhury attended the meeting.
The ICSB leaders thanked the minister for his time and expressed hope that his continued cooperation and guidance would play an important role in achieving the institute’s goals.
